We are proud to announce that the WBNUJS contingent emerged as Quarterfinalists at the 1st National Mediation Tournament conducted by the NIMIS Kirit P. Mehta School of Law. The contingent comprised of two negotiation teams - Samvid Singh Rajwar (Batch of 2025) and Indrayani Bhadra (Batch of 2025) and Bhavishya Chauhan (Batch of 2025) and Akshat Sharma (Batch of 2025); and one mediator - Chirag Mittal (Batch of 2025). All broke and finished as Quarterfinalists.
The tournament was held on 13 and 14th February, 2021. A total of 32 negotiation teams and 16 mediators participated. With an esteemed panel of judges coming from affluent backgrounds, their expertise ranging from Supreme Court, leading arbitration and mediation councils of the country and outside the country, reputed law firms like Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and large corporations like VISA, the aim of the tournament was to make a larger community of mediators and promote Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanisms.
