HIMMAT wins first place at the Community Intervention Challenge

HIMMAT, a startup by NUJS students, providing pro bono legal aid and awareness relating to sexual harassments, has recently won first place at the Community Intervention Challenge! The team was represented by final year students Megha Rana and Sreeja Sengupta. The Community Intervention Challenge under Red Dot Foundation in collaboration with Agami, was an opportunity for Law and Criminology students to identify and resolve the issues of safety and sexual violence in their own locality through Safecity - a platform that crowd sources personal stories of sexual harassment and abuse in public spaces. At NUJS, we are proud that our students continue to create a meaningful impact on society, implement on-ground changes, and bring about a real-life difference.
