The Campus Recruitment Committee (CRC), 2021, is proud to announce that the students of West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), Kolkata have secured excellent placements for the graduating Batch of 2021. Despite an extremely difficult year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a total of 63 students accepted job offers excluding the students who had standing job offers but decided to opt for alternative career options. The average annual packages offered by domestic law firms ranged from INR 15-18 lakhs. Students joining companies in the role of in-house counsels received packages ranging from INR 7-14 lakhs. At the same time, students in the Batch of 2021 also opted for diverse career paths ranging from a career in civil and judicial services to engaging in policy initiatives in leading policy organizations in India and abroad to higher studies in domestic and foreign universities.
The Batch of 2021 showed immense resilience and patience in braving all the challenges posed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Their immense trust and confidence in their CRC 2021 acted as a guiding light to the team in these trying times. The phenomenal achievement could not have been achieved without the constant support of the CRCs and RPCs from the previous and current batches. We also remain eternally grateful to our faculty advisor Prof. Dr. Anirban Mazumder who remained steadfast throughout the recruitment process.
This achievement would have been impossible without the constant guidance and support of our beloved Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. N.K. Chakrabarti, the faculty, the administrative and non-administrative staff of NUJS. A special mention to Ms. Nandini Biswas who supported us unconditionally. Finally, we extend our sincerest gratitude to the NUJS Alumni who gave us confidence in our most difficult times.
